Wu Chi Dao History

These practitioners would co-exist with nature observing its cyclical patterns and energetic system relating it to all living things on earth and in the universe particularly to mankind; eventually, they came to be known as the “Mountain Men”.

This group of remarkable individuals were the original creators of Kung-Fu who sought their wisdom from the principles of nature where concepts, philosophy and natural science was merged as one.  By observing and studying nature meticulously, they reached the deepest level of philosophical understanding and the harmonious connection between nature and all its living things. They were truly skilled and practical individuals.

The Mountain Men were the original natural philosophers that focused particularly on the practical aspects of life; they were more interested in the natural source and philosophical concepts relating this to practical situations rather than the esoteric practices of some ancient philosophers.

They discovered Natures Science by identifying the great Concepts of WU CHI, YIN YANG, PA KUA and WU HSING.  These concepts were used to devise a sound set of principles which were able to be applied to all aspects of living.

TIEN SARN MOUNTAINS

The “Mountain Men” were regarded as the Kung-Fu Sages, their system and methods evolved into a sophisticated yet simple “Life Art”. Over time a Monastery was formed in the Tien Sarn Mountains that housed these great sages for a long time before it was destroyed and completely eradicated from its existence.

Without dwelling too much on the past, we would like to honour these people by passing on the art they discovered and so dearly treasured.

At the time the Tien Sarn Monastery existed the 5 excellencies were adopted and as a natural progression, it became famous for its simultaneous Kung-Fu Healing and Self-Defense methods as well as the pinnacle of developing ones character through its principles and philosophy. Having blended all of these attributes, it meant this Kung fu was the first to create an original Kung-fu called a "LIFE ART" as opposed to today's interpretation of Kung Fu which is associated as a Martial Art, quite an original, sophisticated and unique system.

Due to the long history, nowadays not much is publicly known about the Tien Sarn Monastery and its descendant's apart from a handful of people left who were handed down the art and who are willing to pass it on for the greater good.  The Kung Fu system that carries this heritage and lineage is known today as Wu Chi Chuan.
