Our Kung-Fu System

WU CHI SYMBOL Lge

WU CHI CHUAN

Wu Chi Chuan (Limitless Fist) Kung-Fu is a fighting/ life art which will impart the wisdom and knowledge for all your self-defence, health and way of life living.  The underlying Philosophy is based on the Tao, simply put, meaning the way of nature.Continued from home page:

There are many training progress levels in Wu Chi Chuan Kung-Fu, however, there are 3 main accomplishments.  The first level to accomplish is the Wei Kung (External/ Physical Level) aspect of your training, this will be introduced when you first begin your training in our Adult or Open Age Kung-Fu Program.  Level 2 will proceed from Level 1 while you are advancing in the programs curriculum, Level 2 is the Nei Kung (Internal/ Chi Energy Level) aspect, at this level you would have established a strong foundation with training your Level 1 Wei Kung and on the way to accomplishing the Nei Kung Level. Level 3 brings you to the everlasting training, the highest level which will consist of Wei Kung and Nei Kung refinement while continuously aiming to accomplish Yi Kung (Shen/ Heart & Mind Level) and refining this level to its highest degree while still refining the Wei & Nei Kung levels.

This is by no means an easy task, while achieving these levels of progressive mind and body training, ones life and training require to be balanced while you also learn the Pa Chi (8 Ultimate's) of the Internal system.  This schools Pa Chi consist of the 4 Yin and the 4 Yang components of the Wu Chi Chuan Curriculum, each component is integrated with your level of training, whether you are in the Wei Kung level or the Nei or Yi Kung level.

This is an ancient Chinese system dating back over 5,400 yrs developed by the mountain men of the Tien Shan(Sarn) Mountains.  In the ancient times, the Internal Kung-fu or Nei Jia (Chinese Kung-fu Internal Branches or Family) were one, some small evidence of this can be seen with schools like the Sun style of Tai Chi where they use and combine the 3 Internal Branches, but not entirely the same as we do.  So please do not confuse this with the modern internal systems of Hsing-I, Pa-Kua and Tai Chi which are mostly taught independently, with most of the more sound systems having all the Tao natural sciences addressed in our 4 yin components of the Pa Chi, but not all have the 4 yang components of our Pa Chi, including the 3 independent internal systems.

These 4 Teachings of Daoism Will Help You Navigate Life (The 4 Principles of Taoism)

  • SIMPLICITY, PATIENCE, COMPASSION. “Simplicity, patience, compassion. ...
  • GOING WITH THE FLOW. “When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.” ...
  • LETTING GO. “If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. ...
  • HARMONY.

received his Kung-Fu knowledge and wisdom from the Wu Chi School of Arts, a school which

"KUNG-FU " AS ITS ORIGINAL INTENT, WAS A COMPLETE LIFE/ MARTIAL ART.

AIMA delivers predominantly a unique Original Internal Kung-fu System called Wu Chi - Chuan (Limitless or Nothing or No Force - Fist or Boxing) which Sifu Aldo developed from his training and experience in the Wu Chi Dao. The Wu Chi Dao comes from the ancient philosophical concepts of the Dao, namely Wu Chi, Yin Yang, Wu-Hsing and Pa Kua.

This System is for his instructor students that want to become teachers.  It is a much deeper system with more theoretical and philosophical study and practice focusing on developing the instructors ability to develop their own Kung-fu and teaching qualities, rather than the regular Adult Internal Kung Fu classes that train and focus solely on the effective use and more practical outcomes of the style for their own personal self-defence and health benefits rather than learning to teach and become a Sifu of their own school.

The Tai Chi program AIMA delivers is closely related to the Yang Style Tai Chi system, which makes part of the whole Wu Chi Chuan System, it is best referred to as the Wu Chi Yang Style Tai Chi system for Health and Self-Defence, including Push Hands practice as a complimentary to the Internal Kung Fu style and all other benefits in general.

Tai Chi is the more subtle and softer of the two when it comes to self-defence and focuses more on the state of relaxation, generating internal force by cultivating Qi from the root and using relaxed force, more control and patience is developed while enhancing your personal skills and health aspects rather than the physical fitness.  We balance the level of fitness with our internal Kung-Fu system Sifu calls, Pa Chuan Dao, a derivative of the Wu Chi Dao - Wu Hsing fist, offering a more integrated and comprehensive combat strategic study and practice to this fast and powerful style yet  strong, dexterous and adaptable fist method still relatively using relaxed force.  It can adapt to change and demonstrates unpredictable qualities. This specific quality relates to the philosophy and principles Pa Kua. The whole body is used as the tools for offence and defence, both offence and defence themes act simultaneously and all movements appear effortless and natural.  The defensive themes are just as important if not more important than the offensive themes, and the bridging element incorporates a regulation theme which is a signature to Sifu Aldo’s Kung-fu Style.  This theme bonds the changes through the subtle bridging tool that occurs seamlessly between changing offensive and defensive tools as well as the variations between these tools.  For example, in the offensive tools, a strike and seize to a throw blend naturally.

KUNG-FU INCLUDES MANY FACETS OF DEVELOPING AN INDIVIDUAL, PREDOMINANTLY THE PINNACLE OF ONE'S DEVELOPMENT WAS TO BUILD ONES CHARACTER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH SELF-DEFENSE SKILLS  AND HEALTHY LIVING PRACTICES.

Firstly, Sifu Aldo is one of only a few teachers in the world that is teaching Kung-fu in its original state and way as it was intended when it was first created. The original Kung-fu did not just include Martial Arts, Health and Fitness exercises, but was first and fore mostly a Life Art, and for the martial art enthusiast, the Martial Art was not just a physical martial art or as known today as an External system, but a deeper Internal system focusing on the unification of  body, mind and spirit,  called Wu Chi Chuan.  Wu Chi Chuan's curriculum consists of the Pa Chi (8 Ultimate Internal sub-systems as one).
More on the martial arts side later or to learn more, Click on this link Our Kung-fu System.

The life art aspect of Kung-fu included the practice of Five Arts in an open and flexible manner suitable for each person and even different times for them at their time and generations to come. The people who  created Kung-fu believed in refining the individual and aiming to constantly achieve in pursuit of excellence.  So, they set a standard for their individual's so that they could gauge their achievements through the practice of Five Arts in an open and flexible manner, suitable for each person and even different times for generations to come. These 5 Arts came to be known as the 5 EXCELLENCIES.

The Kung-Fu 5 Excellencies for the Life Art, basically consist of:

  • Philosophy - The Tao, in particular the way of nature

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Acupressure, Herbs and Bone Setting),

  • Internal  Martial Arts (Nei Jia), Wu Chi Chuan - Pa Chi (Limitless Fist of the 8 Ultimate's)

  • Essential Academic Qualities (Language, Comprehension - Reading and Writing, Mathematics and Science - The study of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment) which may have come a long way today but may have missed the mark by not following the principles of nature and finally

  • 10 Talents - Of your own choice and up with the times of today e.g. Music, Carpentry, Cooking, Sewing, Horse Riding etc. today may be, finances, Computer Skills, Driving, Flying etc. just to name a few.

The original Kung-fu is rare, very old and life benefiting, it was created and developed thousands of years ago by people living in the Tien Shan (Sarn) mountains NW of China.  These people were known as Mt. Men and followed the philosophy of the Tao, they lived in accordance with nature, they were also very practical and did not follow any Taoist esoteric practices or worship any deities, but simply followed the principles of the Tao.  They simply accepted things as they were without trying to change them or use any force against them, but rather leave it to what it just is. If you study the natural order of things and work with it rather than against it, to try to change what it is, only sets up resistance.

OUR THREE KUNG-FU PROGRAMS

ANIMAL STYLE KUNG-FU | WU CHI CHUAN | TAI CHI

AIMA DELIVERS PREDOMINANTLY A UNIQUE INTERNAL KUNG-FU SYSTEM AND TAI CHI CLASSES, INCLUDING WEAPONRY FOR BOTH THE JUNIORS AND ADULTS.

TAI CHI IS THE MORE SOFTER OF THE TWO WHEN IT COMES TO SELF-DEFENSE AND FOCUSES MORE ON THE HEALTH ASPECT OF THE ART RATHER THAN FITNESS.  WHEREAS, IN RELATION TO SELF-DEFENSE, KUNG-FU IS ABOUT STRIKING, SEIZING AND CONTROLLING AND TAKE DOWN WITH THROWS AS WELL AS AN ARRAY OF DEFENSIVE THEMES IN COMPARISON TO TAI CHI, WHICH USES A UNIQUE METHOD OF UPROOTING AND REPELLING AN OFFENDER AWAY WITHOUT A THROWING OR TAKEDOWN TECHNIQUE BY JUST TOUCHING AN OPPONENT OR WHEN BEING PUSHED OR SHOVED IN ANY DIRECTION.  KUNG-FU ALSO RELATES TO FITNESS, STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING MORE SO THAN HEALTH, BUT IS STILL REGARDS HEALTH OVER FITNESS WITH EXCEPTIONALLY HEALTHY BENEFITS.

THE TWO HAVE BOTH THE SAME UNDERLYING PRINCIPLES, FOUNDATIONS AND PHILOSOPHY AS THEIR ENGINE THAT DRIVES THEIR MOVES, MOTIVES AND ATTITUDE TOWARD AN ATTACKER, THEIR INTENTION IS JUST SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. THEY ALSO BOTH FOCUS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHARACTER, THROUGH WHAT MAY SEEM TOTALLY OPPOSITE SYSTEMS WHERE IN-FACT THE SYSTEM OUTCOMES ARE THE SAME.  POWER, STRENGTH, SPEED, CO-ORDINATION, HEALTH AND FITNESS ARE DERIVED FROM THE SAME SOURCE, THE SAME PRINCIPLES JUST IN A DIFFERENT MANNER.

NOW, IF YOU WERE ABLE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE COMPARISON AND THEIR DIFFERENCES OR SHOULD I SAY SIMILARITIES, THEN YOU MAY NOT BE THINKING HOW THEN CAN A KUNG-FU SCHOOL TEACH BOXING, KICKBOXING AND GRAPPLING TO STUDENTS WHEN THESE SYSTEMS ARE DIFFERENT TO KUNG-FU. THEREFORE, INSTEAD OF HOW, IT SHOULD BE A BIG WOW FACTOR.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN YOU EXPECT BY DOING AN INTERNAL SYSTEM AS OPPOSED TO AN EXTERNAL SYSTEM, WELL LETS SAY YOUR ENGINE WILL RUN MORE EFFICIENTLY, LAST LONGER AND ARE ABLE TO IMPROVE WITH AGE ALL WHILE BEING EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE.

EFFECTIVE - EFFICIENT - EMPOWERING

SO IF YOU THINK KUNG-FU IS NOT FOR YOU, THAT IS FINE BUT THINK AGAIN, YOU CAN APPLY ANY OF THE INTERNAL PRINCIPALS TO ANY SYSTEM, ONCE YOU KNOW HOW.

IS COMBINING THE PRINCIPLES WITH ANY OTHER SYSTEM RATHER THAN THE KUNG-FU SYSTEM CROSS TRAINING?

PLEASE DO NOT GET CONFUSED WITH THIS, AS CROSS TRAINING DOES NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION LEARNING AND APPLYING THE SAME PRINCIPLES AND FOUNDATIONS, IN FACT CROSS TRAINING LENDS TO TRAINING DIFFERENT SYSTEMS WITH DIFFERENT FOUNDATIONS AND PRINCIPLES, THIS IS PARTICULARLY COMMON WITH EXTERNAL SYSTEMS WHERE BY EVEN THE SAME SYSTEMS WHEN THEY BREAK UP INTO DIFFERENT STYLES, ARE GEARED BY DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES, AND FOUNDATIONS WHICH MOST OF THE TIMES LEAD TO DIFFERENT PRINCIPLES.  THIS IS WHY IF YOU ARE GOING TO CROSS TRAIN ANY EXTERNAL STYLES YOU SHOULD CONSIDER MAKING THEM ALL YOUR OWN, SO AT LEAST YOU WILL HAVE THE SAME PRINCIPLES THAT YOU BELIEVE AND WOULD FOLLOW BY, HENCE THE RISE OF MIXED MARTIAL ARTS.

OK, NOW THAT WE'VE GOT THIS CONTROVERSY DISCUSSION OUT OF THE WAY, I HOPE YOU CAN SEE HOW AND WHY WE CAN OFFER COMBATIVE SPORT PROGRAMS LIKE BOXING, KICKBOXING AND GRAPPLING FROM AN INTERNAL MARTIAL ARTS PRACTICE AND POINT OF VIEW FOR YOU.

WE REASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL HAVE A UNIQUE SYSTEM BUT WITH THE SAME PRINCIPLES AND FOUNDATIONS, WHETHER YOU LEARN OUR COMPLETE KUNG-FU SYSTEM (A COMBATIVE ART) OR CHOOSE TO SPECIALISE IN ONE OR MORE OF OUR COMBATIVE SPORTS PROGRAMS.

THE REASON WE DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE COMBATIVE ARTS AND THE COMBATIVE SPORTS IS SIMPLY BASED ON THE COMPETITION FACTOR. COMBATIVE SPORTS, IF ONE ENGAGES IN THE COMPETITIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE SPECIFIC COMBATIVE SPORT, IS RULES BASED WHICH REQUIRES A CERTAIN LEVEL OF TRAINING IN ORDER TO BECOME YOUR BEST, REVOLVING AROUND THE COMPETITIONS RULES.  COMBATIVE ARTS, ON THE OTHER HAND FOCUSES ON CIVIL SELF-DEFENSE WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE RULES OR BOUND TO ANY, THEREFORE THE OUTCOME WILL DICTATE THE TRAINING AND NO BOUNDARIES WILL BE ENCOUNTERED, FOCUS IS ALSO PROJECTED ON DEVELOPING THE ART NOT JUST THE FIGHT.

ALL WE WANT FORM THIS THIS DISCUSSION IS TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND AND DECIDE TO CHOOSE THE TYPE OF PROGRAMS THAT BEST SUITS YOU OR WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE OR REQUIRE. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US TO DISCUSS YOUR OPTIONS OR ANY POINTS FURTHER.

OUR KIDS CLASSES AGED FROM 4 - 15 YRS ARE RESTRICTED TO OUR KUNG-FU JUNIOR PROGRAMS AND TAILORED TO THE AGE SPECIFIC GROUPS.

These Concepts coupled with the Principles, Philosophy, Combative Methods and Strategies and our Master's (Sifu Aldo) years of experience are used to develop each and every martial art program delivered by AIMA. A complete kung-fu system would not be complete without health and well being methods as well as character development including moral and ethical values. Formalities and Attitude representing good character development health and well being are at the forefront of all our Martial Art training  whilst building ones kung-fu.

WU CHI SYMBOL LgeAIMA delivers an Original Old School Kung-Fu system that is practical and functional for today's modern times and life style. Originating from the Wu Chi Dao, a Kung Fu System dating back over 5000 years ago, passed down from generation to generation, Sifu Aldo began his Wu Chi Dao training with the Wu Chi School of Arts in 1981. In 1988 he began his own Wu Chi Kung-Fu journey, and on his own with his students by his side, he consistently practised and began to refine his kung-fu system. Keeping an open mind, practising, studying and researching a large scope of other martial art internal and external systems so as to compare them to his own unique Wu Chi training methods, techniques and principles, through his own efforts and experience, he ultimately developed a strong, sound and complete Wu Chi Kung Fu System. This also enabled him to confirm his own systems Effectiveness, and Efficiency, a system that will Empower you to develop yourself and your Kung Fu system. Our Kung-Fu system is deep and diverse with its roots vastly covering all of the combative categories any other martial art schools would have, consisting of Strikes (From Hand to Elbow to Foot to Knee), Grabs/ locks/ holds and also Throws and Take downs particularly based on the internal kung fu principles and concepts which makes it unique yet naturally to connect and combine any of these combative categories. Apart from refining and developing his Kung-Fu system which is predominantly based on self-defence, Sifu Aldo was able to develop other combative programs based on Sport like Boxing, Kick Boxing or Grappling set for any MMA Kick Boxing or Boxing Competitions. Sifu Aldo's school, the Australian Institute of Martial Arts is totally autonomous from any other Wu Chi Systems and any other internal or external schools.  In 2003 he founded the Australian Institute of Martial Arts which formed the beginning of a passionate journey to contribute to the martial arts society.

Wu Chi Chuan Kung Fu is a Martial/ Life Art, it also adopts life skills consisting of learning and becoming proficient in the Wu Chi 5 Excellencies with the Self-defence aspect being one of the main 5 Excellencies that AIMA focuses on throughout all of its martial art programs.  The Self-defence aspect of the 5 Excellencies is the Wu Chi Pa Chi (8 Ultimate Combative Mother Arts), the first four of the mother arts are: Wu Hsing (5 Directional Fists), Chin Na (Seizing and Controlling), Shuai Jiao (Take down, Throws and Grappling), Tun Tui (Springing Legs/ kicking) and the last 4 of the mother arts are: Hsing I Chuan, Pa Kua Chang, Tai Chi Chuan and Wu Chi Chi Kung based on their specific predominant universal dao concepts.

However, the Pa Chi are completed and taught in unison in the Masters Program. Before the Master program, the student needs to progress through our Black sash kung-fu program which is followed by our Masters kung-fu program, at the Masters level all of the 5 Excellencies play a large roll in the achievement of becoming a Si-Fu (Male Master) or a Si-Mu (Female Master).

Years ago the Wu Chi Dao kung-fu self-defence was only taught to a few in a close nit circle, it was rarely taught to the public due to the nature of the system, its history and in particular to the precautionary measures taken by the masters.

The old time masters felt responsible and did not want this powerful but gentle art falling into the wrong hands of brutal or bad people without a conscience and discrediting the art.

However, in today's society we have law and order controlling this concern and if someone was to misuse the art to deliberately kill or even hurt others, they would be prosecuted by the law.

On the upside, even in today's society with the law, we still need Self-Defence to defend ourselves, family or friends when there are no officer's of the law around to protect us at any time of eminent danger.  So in the event of anything happening, you would want to know you can at least try to keep yourself safe by having learnt a practical and amazing Kung-fu system with self-defence at its disposal while improving your life in general.

The Wu Chi Chuan Self-defence system is a unique and practical internal martial art, that embodies the Art of Life in conjunction with the Martial Art.  It is true to the Old School of Kung-Fu as well as up there with any martial art of today if not more so.

Today, Kung-Fu is commonly interpreted and thought to be predominantly about fighting.  Therefore, we refer to our Kung-Fu System as an Internal Martial/ Life Art, sometimes even dropping the "Martial" altogether making it simply a "Life Art".

So if you would like to learn this unique Wu Chi Chuan internal kung fu system, do not hesitate and wait, contact us immediately and we will help you get on your way to start your journey in developing and changing your life for the better, through our Art of Kung fu.
