COMBAT SPORTS COURSE
Our Combat Sport courses offer personalised, unique MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) training at an elite level with the development of the Offensive Themes for combat sports competitions with our Internal Kung-Fu System, "Wu Chi Chuan" as the base style. You will also have the choice of either becoming an amateur or professional competitor, the choice is yours and being part of a Combat Sport Training Course does not mean you have to compete. There are other outcomes apart from just wanting to be a winner or a champion, however, if you decide to compete then you must train to be a champion. All our Combat Sport Courses are based on all of the Offensive Themes which are delivered in accordance to our Internal Kung-Fu principles, our systems basic Defensive and Regulating Themes are also included. Also, particular strengthening and conditioning and a correct attitude with a strong mind set in accordance to our system is important and should be adhered to if you wish to succeed and become a champion.
OFFENSIVE THEMES
MMA COMPETITORS USUALLY LEARN ANY ONE OR TWO OF THESE SYSTEMS "BOXING, KICKBOXING/ MUAY THAI, BRAZILIAN JUJITSU OR JUDO" AS THEIR BASE STYLE OR SYSTEM, AND THEN ADD BITS AND PIECES OF THE REST OF THESE SYSTEMS AS WELL AS OTHER STYLES OR SYSTEMS TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN MMA SKILLS. IN FACT IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT THE STYLES AND COMPARE THEIR DIFFERENCES, YOU WILL FIND BASICALLY ONLY 2 OFFENSIVE THEMES. IN OUR SYSTEM, WE DEVELOP THE CORE MOVEMENTS OF EACH OF THESE 2 THEMES WITH THE ADDED COMBATIVE SKILLS AND ENERGY MOVEMENT OF THE INTERNAL SYSTEMS. THIS ALLOWS US TO MAINTAIN THE SAME PRINCIPLES THROUGHOUT, WHILE COMBINING THE DIFFERENT THEMES. A VERY IMPORTANT POINT TO REMEMBER WHEN DEVELOPMENT IS CRUCIAL UPON CONSISTENCY.
OUR COMBAT SPORTS COURSES ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE YOUR COMPETITIVE NATURE AND THE SPECIFIC SKILLS OF EACH OFFENSIVE THEME. AS MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY ON OUR PROGRAMS PAGE, THERE ARE 2 MAIN OFFENSIVE THEMES WE WORK ON TO IMPROVE OUR MIXED MARTIAL ARTS, THEY ARE HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT (HVI) & LOW INTENSITY (LI) OFFENSIVE THEMES. (See the list below)
WHEN WE TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT COMBAT SPORTS ARE AVAILABLE TO US, WE CAN SEE THAT BOXING, KICKBOXING (MUAY THAI) AND MMA ARE THE MOST POPULAR AND HAVE PROFESSIONAL COMPETITION POSSIBILITIES. BY LEARNING AND PRACTICING ALL OUR OFFENSIVE THEMES IN ACCORDANCE TO OUR METHODS AND PRINCIPLES, YOU WILL IMPROVE YOUR MARTIAL ART ABILITIES FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE COMBAT SPORT COMPETITIONS.
SOME TECHNIQUES MAY RESEMBLE YOUR NORMAL RUN OF THE MILL MOVEMENTS FROM THESE SPORTS, HOWEVER, WE WILL ADD A UNIQUE INTERNAL BRIDGING QUALITY TO THEM THAT MAY GIVE YOU AN EDGE OVER YOUR OPPONENT WITH THE ABILITY TO DELVE DEEPER INTO YOUR SKILLS AND IMPROVE THEM EXPONENTIALLY WHILE LEAVING YOUR COMPETITORS WAY BEHIND.

Below is our list of Combative Sports Programs related to a specific competition or a choice of different competitions suitable for that particular Combative Sports Program for you to choose from:
-
BOXING - All Boxing Competitions
Members wanting to improve their Striking ability particularly their Boxing Punching Strikes not just for Boxing but for other competitions that cross use striking like MMA should seriously take up our Boxing Classes. Our Boxing classes also include defensive themes generic for all competitions but particularly specific for Boxing. Being that our system is Kung fu based, we also have large number of other hand strikes that can easily be transferred and utilised in other combative sports training for competitions with more striking rules.
-
KICKBOXING - All Kickboxing | Muay Thai | Tae Kwondo | San Shiao (Strikes, Kicks and Throws) Competitions
Members wanting to improve their Kicking, Knees, Elbows and any other generic Kickboxing Strikes, including hammer fists and punches not just for Kickboxing but for competitions like MMA which use all the three main offensive themes, then members should take up our Kickboxing classes and become versatile in all the other Striking themes rather than just the Boxing or Hand Strikes.
-
GRAPPLING - Judo | Ju-Jitsu | Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) | San Shiao Competitions
By now if you have read the Boxing and Kickboxing program details, you would follow that our Grappling programs would be for competitions that include but not limited to Ground Fighting and Standing with Locks and Holds and Throws and Takedowns. For any of our members who wish to learn Grappling on the ground or stand up or improve their Grappling seizes, holds and takedowns in general or wish to enter into any competition with Grappling rules allowed, then grappling classes are a must and this program is definitely for you.
N.B. Its not just about how fast or powerful you can execute the moves, or in a particular technique or style of the specific combat sport, anyone can learn external boxing, kickboxing or grappling moves and create their own style, however, by learning these external moves in a specific manner that develops internal qualities, it can make the difference when applying the moves and give you that slight edge you need to have it over your opponent.
A word from our Principal/ Head Coach
Why should I train all the three main offensive themes with AIMA?
What is the difference in training with AIMA combative sports programs rather than with other schools and systems similar that offer specific offensive themes?
Is Cross Training with other systems beneficial and how does it compare with training all the offensive themes under the one system delivered only by AIMA?
Here at AIMA you can experience learning all the three main Offensive Themes based on the same concepts and principles on a generic level while establishing one's own style. We maintain that our unique training methods are based on the same foundations and principles of which each of the three main Offensive Themes, as well as all our other combative themes included in each of our combative sports programs, will rest upon. Our system has no limitations and is completely adaptable under the correct circumstances which can take you to whatever level or destination you desire, so set your Goals High and Aspire to Greatness and allow our instructors at AIMA to guide you to your destination.
Someone once asked me if cross training with different schools and styles was beneficial and added to the practitioner's ability and skills, what do you think I said?
Come in and tell me in person what you think and I will let you know what I said. Look forward to meeting you and seeing you at one of our classes soon.
Yours Sincerely
Sifu Aldo
