Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a moving meditation, it is used to the balance the Yin and Yang energies of the mind and body. Deliberate slow, gentle, flowing movements help restore one's balance through the integration of Body, Mind and Spirit. In our Tai Chi classes, we utilise the Yang Style Form as well as our own non-specific Wu Chi Tai Chi style movements to express the concepts and principles of Tai Chi. Tai Chi emphasises cultivating, storing and flowing the Chi (Intrinsic energy) enhancing one's health, happiness and longevity by helping reduce stress, increase bone density, improve mobility and stability creating a supple yet strong and robust mind and body.
Chi Kung
There are many forms of Chi Kung, our Chi Kung classes like Tai Chi enhance one's health, happiness and longevity by cultivating one's chi and improving overall health and well being, it is linked closely with the principles of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and is beneficial for many ailments. Chi Kung is a holistic practice that focuses on the person's complete energetic system (Chi), accomplishing Chi Kung requires appropriately regulating the body, mind, breathing, Chi (Intrinsic energy) and Shen (Spirit of vitality) during a meditative postural exercise in either a still or semi-static aligned and connected body movements. Practising Chi Kung helps cultivate “Chi” (life energy) to help restore health and improve quality of life.
